Territory improves connections with new intercity services along the B-40.

The Department of Territory of the Generalitat of Catalonia and DIREXIS TGO will launch improvements to the M1 line, which connects Olesa de Montserrat, Viladecavalls, Terrassa, and the UAB, as well as the new M9 line between Esparreguera, Abrera, and Terrassa, starting on April 2. These enhancements are designed to provide a more efficient and convenient service for users and students in the area.

Improvements to the M1 Line between Olesa de Montserrat and the UAB:

Starting from the aforementioned date, the M1 line will run along the B-40 highway, which will reduce travel times and improve the overall experience for our users.

One of the main improvements is the introduction of “express” services between Olesa, Terrassa, and the UAB, especially during peak hours. Some trips, primarily the most crowded ones, will skip Viladecavalls, allowing for faster access to key destinations. However, access to the UAB campus for users from Viladecavalls will be guaranteed through a transfer with the existing M6A line (Viladecavalls–Terrassa shuttle).

Additionally, the service hours for the M1 line have been extended, with eleven new trips added, particularly between 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., including two extra trips to the UAB to improve scheduling options for users.

New M9 Line between Esparreguera and Terrassa:

Also starting on April 2, the new M9 line will be launched, efficiently and quickly connecting Esparreguera, Abrera, and Terrassa. This new line will take advantage of the recently opened Olesa-Viladecavalls section of the B-40 highway, offering faster and more direct access.

The M9 line route will start at the Tres Caravel·les stop in Esparreguera and follow the main axis of the municipality to the Creu stop. From there, it will head to Abrera, with strategic stops along the way, and will finally arrive in Terrassa, with the final destination at the bus station. The M9 line will offer services in both directions, adapting to the needs of users from Esparreguera, Abrera, and Terrassa.

These improvements are designed to provide a more comfortable and efficient transportation service for our users. We hope that these enhancements to the M1 line and the introduction of the new M9 line will meet the mobility needs of our community and enhance their travel experience.
