Service improvements on lines L59 and L67.

The Department of Territory of the Generalitat of Catalonia and DIREXIS TGO will launch improvements to line L59, which connects Rubí, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Castellbisbal, El Papiol, Molins de Rei, and the Moisès Broggi Hospital in Sant Joan Despí, and line L67, which connects Castellbisbal, El Papiol, Molins de Rei, Sant Joan Despí, and Barcelona, on Thursday, May 2. These improvements are designed to enhance reliability, punctuality, and service offerings based on users’ needs, especially during early morning hours.
L59: New Expeditions
To meet the needs of early risers, a new expedition from El Papiol to Barcelona will be added, departing at 7:25 a.m. This expedition will include a stop at 7:55 at Moisès Broggi Hospital and will continue to Barcelona as L67. This addition will provide a third option for users who want to reach Molins de Rei and the hospital before 8 a.m., as well as an additional alternative for entering Barcelona during morning peak hours.
Additionally, a new expedition from Barcelona to Castellbisbal will be introduced in this time slot, which will accommodate early departures from CAP La Granja (passing at 8:37) and will arrive in Castellbisbal at 9:00. From Canyet, this service will operate as an additional L67 expedition and will facilitate access to the urban area of Castellbisbal. Finally, in order to improve punctuality, the expedition from Molins de Rei to Rubí has been moved 10 minutes earlier; it will now depart at 8:15 and arrive at 8:45 instead of 8:55.
L67: Updates and New Expeditions
The schedules for some weekday expeditions have been adjusted to improve service reliability due to the traffic generated at the entrance to Barcelona. The changes include advancing the departure from Castellbisbal to Barcelona by 10 minutes to 6:35 a.m., removing the stop at Plaça Lluís Companys for the Barcelona to Castellbisbal expedition at 7:25 a.m., and adjusting the arrivals and departures at various points in the morning and afternoon.
The service offering has also been improved with 4 new expeditions in both directions in the morning and midday, allowing arrivals in Barcelona at 8:15, 9:55, 11:55, and 14:30, and arrivals in Castellbisbal at 9:00, 10:35, 12:35, and 15:15. Departures from Castellbisbal to Barcelona have been advanced by 10 minutes to 6:55 a.m., and from Barcelona to Castellbisbal to 8:00 a.m.
Additionally, to improve efficiency at the Rodalies station in El Papiol, a new usage scheme has been proposed for the two stops of lines L59 and L67. Now, regardless of whether the bus continues to Barcelona or Castellbisbal, the station’s shelter will be used for buses that have not yet entered the urban area of El Papiol, and the stop in front of the shelter will be used for buses that have already entered the urban area.
These improvements are designed to provide a more convenient and efficient transportation service for our users. We are committed to continuing to enhance the lines to meet the mobility needs of users.
Improvements coordinated and funded by the Generalitat of Catalonia.
